Where do I find them? and what kind of features do I look for?

I have a friend that just got certified and I wanted to get her some gear to start off her diving adventure.

On a side note. Has anyone found any issues of not having an HSA cert card recognized?

I'm guess the answer should be no...but her instructor is trying to get her a PADI card to go with her HSA card.

Thanks
Jeff

I use a type of webbed glove for swimming laps...Is that what you are talking about?

Webbed scuba gloves for a diver that is paralyzed from the waist down.

I'm guessing at the features I need.

But they need

a) provide good "traction" in the water for movement
b) Still allow dexterity for gauges
c) Thermal protection

and maybe other stuff that I haven thought of.

Dunno...Maybe because it is very hard to do anything with them on. But I'm sure they would work fine for what she needs them for.

Well, the comments from the users say that they love them for scuba and even have some of them stating that they use camera's.

But there has to be other gloves as well.

Hello just logged on today and I saw your post, I was wondering if you ever found webbed gloves that met your needs. I too am looking for gloves, for use by the disabled. Looking for 7mm. I have found other places with webbed gloves but they are 2mm, not so good in colder water. Anyways any help you could give me would be appreciated.

No...haven't found any thicker gloves either.

It would be nice to find some 5mm or 7mm gloves.

I'll preface this by saying I don't know squat about webbed gloves, but did notice that it's pretty easy to put your whole hand through some open-toe/open heel fins.

That would let you wear whatever gloves you want, and give a ton of surface area for finning.
