Severe sunburn by far has to be the most common.

Roak

Right down the front of my boot is a seam....the seam rubs on the front of my ankle (where it naturally bends) and I look like I've had surgery on both feet. That's my only "injury"....I need new boots that don't have the seams in the front!

/highjack ... I solved that problem simply by wearing regular old dress socks. Socks give just enough protection that even skin waterlogged from continuous diving doesn't get abraded by seams in the boot.

In my short diving career, I've had blisters several times from warm water diving (solved it the way Charlie says, by using socks). I've fallen on entry or exit and gotten bruised up. And I've tweaked my back SEVERAL times, mostly moving tanks when not diving, but once twisting wrong getting up out of the back of the car with my gear on.

Yesterday, I saw what has to be a unique scuba injury: One of my friends on the boat, while trying to put on his backplate setup, managed somehow -- don't ask me how! -- to gash open the back of his head on the plate.

I was kind of wondering if that would work. I will try that out this weekend. Thanks! :D

Severe dry land syndrome. Crying leads to puffy eyes....dry, sensitive skin is much more prone to rashes, and salt water irritation when not immersed at proper intervals. Poor feet get too used to dry socks, and then a week in the booties and fins turns them into mush.
Take me to the river... drop me in the water...

That would depend on the location. I can think of many places in the world where its not an issue.

I have a permanent dent in my shin from a fall on a dive boat in Tahiti. Had to have orthoscopic surgery on a knee after a fall on a boat in Key Largo. More stings an sunburns than I care to count. One particularly BAD sunburn was in Tahiti. Had to get the hotel desk clerk to slather me in some sort of diaper rash cream several times a day as I could barely bend my arms let alone reach my back and shoulders. OUCH!!!
