Is this a good time to mention that I have 3 different size wings and I am looking for a 4th to setup a single tank rig? Anyone have a good old style Halcyon 27lb wing for sale? :D

Lol!! Yeah, it's a good time! Hey, your avatar seems deceptively cute and and cuddly. I bet it turns into a lion when (and if) you go after someone who uses one wing for everything!! Hahaha! :D

Sorry, though. I can't help you with what you are looking for. I only have one wing (that I use for everything!).
Hahaha!

Well, ya know, there's a reason lions are kept behind bars at the zoo. They can turn on you any minute... :D

I understand and have been on both sides of this debate, so I'm leaving it alone. I know the frustration of trying to help someone, and I know the irritation of having someone try to tell me how to dive.

While I believe someone shouldn't attempt tech on the cheap, I have dived with a wing that was not ideal on occasion, for various reasons. On one dive, I forgot my wing and dove double 80s and used a lift bag for buoyancy. One time on a cave dive, I forgot my booties and dove with my shoes. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. But, I wouldn't plan to dive that way.

I agree with Tobin. Buy the wing you need for the type of diving you do NOW, not what you MAY be doing in the future. You'll be much happier. You will eventually need more than one anyway. When you begin doing dives that aren't suitable for your current wing, then buy a new one that is. If you can't afford it, stick to the type of diving you can afford.
