Sorry, read late last night and completely missed it. I am a :dork2:.

Looks like Chatterton's hair under the hat, and for lack of any other could that be just Richie's feet in there?

RM,

I am thinking more along the lines of a Wes Anderson film? Something like Darjeeling Limited meets Life Aquatic (which I already thought was about my life anyway, so what do I know?) but with more action. Richie will be played by the guy from Fargo who gets put in the wood chipper.

Cheers

JC

One of the things that Kurson did really well with the book, that I doubt they will be able to replicate with the film, was the way he portrayed John and Ritchie as regular guys struggling to juggle commitments at home and at work, whilst dealing with the danger and intrigue of the mystery U-boat.

I suspect the Hollywood version of movie superheros will just gloss over all that stuff (and I also suspect that the waters of New Jersey will suddenly become Caribbean crystal clear... and probably also filled with sharks and other sea monsters for good measure).

George came from the era where the mask-on-the forehead was cool, and nobody ever made it look cooler. He is missed.

Wow...

Was flipping through the channels a bit ago and came across an old episode of DSD...It was the episode about the Cornelia B. Windiate. Caused quite a bit of reflection and great memories...Back to the days of divemaster training, 9:00 on Monday nights, follows on the DSD boards and some book.

Got the drysuit down John...20 lbs with that freaking heavy undergarment....0 lbs with thinner...I'd rather be a bit cooler. I'll save the heavy one for the next time I go to the *@%#ing Artic Circle...

Find John Chatterton....and Richie Kohler. Everyone can answer...EXCEPT...Mr. Chatterton

Also...Check out the water everyone...This was 30 miles offshore...the Mike Norwood Memorial in November.

Don't cheat but I will at least show one answer below...You'll have to guess the other...Oh...John will pay the person who identifies Kohler first....50 cents......Scroll down

Check out the label on the hat...

And one more....

Truly missing him JC..........And I would strongly encourage anyone to not make a comment about Mask On Forehead:)

Well, the only guy that has Richie's beard is in the upper left of the photo, so that would be my take. Though the guy on the right has his nose and shades. :)

Is this before or after he went on the SlimFast Diet?

Thanks for the "Sorry" but not necessary....No problem at all...Actually if you have read some of my past posts, you may see how right you are:)....
By the time this little question and answer is done...I have a feeling I will be considered a :dork2: anyway...Wait a minute...I am already a:dork2:....Well, this time it will be a double:dork2::dork2:with an added:eyebrow: The above is also a hint:wink:

Yep...John under the hat...

Nah...it'll probably get all "Hollywood-ized" and they'll get Brad Pitt to play you and Leonardo DiCaprio to play Richie!:shocked2:

Life Aquatic huh? could be interesting!:rofl3:

Alright, I'm going out on a limb here- the guy keeping the sun off his face with the Scubaboard cap while sunnin' his beer gut is good ole JC, and that's definitely Richie on the left. He must have lost a bet...

P.S. got my copy of Titanic dropped off at my door today, great read so far!

they'll get brad pitt to play you and leonardo dicaprio to play richie!

omg!....

Dear Mr Chatterton,

I don't have a TV and until recently, didn't know you were part of Deep Sea Detectives.

I just spent a few days before Christmas in Florida hoping to get some dives in. On my 3rd dive, I started to get sick and spent the next 2 days a patient in my friends guestroom before flying home. Kind of a bummer but, these things happen.

Anyhoo, my dive buddy had a copy of 2 your Deep Sea Detectives videos. North Carolina Wrecks and Secret Underwater Caves (Cozumel) I watched both of them a couple of times and didn't get bored. TV usually bores me and most diving stuff on tv isn't all that entertaining.

Anyhoo, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed them as well as Shadow Divers.

You put out good stuff.

Tracey
