Welcome to the board!

Hi welcome and enjoy the Board.

hi mike,
get all the dives there you can while stationed there. i was a diving coastie there '83-'86. rode 41's for 3 yrs in ketchikan then a black boat out of petersburg 1yr. the area is so great for artifacts. lack of divers i guess. my sar team buddie and i brought up alot of loot over the years. keep in mind all the automated lighthouses there. people lived in them and there is alot of bottles, china, etc. to be found. the most productive will be right at the base. think how long those old mooring stations have been used. they are loaded! i live in south florida but i can say alaska was some of the best diving i did in my life, enjoy it while you can. best wishes and dive safe.

A Big Texas welcome to the new board member from the geat state of Alaska!
Michelle
