Hello,
I would like to know what U.S. certifications would be acceptable and to what level would be acceptable as an alternative to CMAS
In other words, for example, what level of CMAS certification would a NAUI Advanced certification be?
This pertains to diving in France with U.S. certifications
Helpfull answers needed
Thank you very much.

That is a very big problem if you want to make him dive with an FFESSM dive club...
And that is what you want to do, don't you ?

There is no problem with the french PADI, NAUI or other professional dive operators.
But as soon as you go in an association ( law 1901), you must respect their boring rules.

No worry for the OW, but for all the other, you have to pass an evaluation with an FFESSM instructor.

Their is an agreement since last year between the FFESSM and NAUI, they both accept the 3 1st certificates ( P1 P2 P3 for OW AOW MSD ).

They haven't sign with PADI yet, except for the OW.

Hello Air one, I should have PMed you, as I guessed you may answer.
We know some folks who are planning a trip to the coast, and they wanted to make sure they could dive, without to much hassle.
We are good for our deal, as we have everything in place.
And yes, diving out of a club can be a lot of politics.

Thanks for the answers from all that replied.
