Going to Deerfield beach area in June. Have narrowed dive ops down to Underwater Explorer out of Boynton Beach and Parrot Island out of Deerfield. Thanks to Onespeed and Deepstops on SB for your comments....wonder what others have to say who might have tried both ops. and which area has the best reefs.

Regularly dive with both ops and consider both friends.

PI tends to have more classes and students driving their schedule. They have 2 boats running and really good crews. Because they work with allot of shops, they tend to do some of the same sites over and over and over; the dropoff, Sea Emperor, Ancient Mariner...

UE up in Boynton is a 6 pack operation, and when we show up, we fill the boat, so we dictate the destinations... The reefs are more vibrant up in Boynton and the currents can be a little stiffer, we're all drifting so it's not an issue.

How long is your trip....? If its a weekend, I'd say UE...? if an entire week I'd say both...

I dove with Underwater Explorer in January and would recommend them without any hesitation. Kevin knows the sites and is very professional. You won't be disappointed.

Dived 'em both. Like 'em both. Would pick Underwater Explorers if I could only do one.

And, thinkin' about this, if you picked a date in June on Underwater Explorers and posted it here, you'd probably fill the boat with other ScubaBoarders. Just sayin'.

Another vote for Underwater Explorers

Sounds like Kevin gets the votes hands down...thanks everyone. My husband and I will be diving June 19-22 (four days). Use to drift diving since we go to Coz two-three times/year, so Boynton sounds just perfect. Also like the idea of small boat and good reefs even though it will be a 36 mile drive RT from the hotel. Now if I can just talk Onespeed into going and picking out the best reefs:wink:..and maybe a good place to do a night dive:eyebrow:
