Well here we go: Genisis Yukon second stage a piece of Qwap I use it now as a door stop, 2 used 80al hydoed but not properly vis'ed after it was contaminated and value threads corroded, a custom made 7 mm wet suit had to have resized so I could breath, all bought from a lds in Winnipeg Buyers BEWARE. as a newby I wish I would have shopped around.

Worse thing I Bought was a wetsuit that had a hood integrated ended up cutting it off! Oh yea and everything I bought while taking my OWC that I thought I wanted and ended up replacing. Hey but now I have two+ full get ups one for the pool classes and one for the ocean.

Can I ask you what's wrong with the integrated hood? It seems like a good idea.

:depressed:sigh

positively buoyant lightweight fins with rifled rubber edges to mimic the fins of a manta or halibut.

Might as well have gone diving with a couple of real halibuts stamped to my feet.

During the winter it was OK. But during the summer I didnt like wearing a hood so I tried pulling it back letting it drag behind, but there was to much drag and choking factor. so I cut it off, and than bought a hoodless wetsuit. and use the cut off hood for winter dives.

Worse thing I ever bought were the BCs and Regs in their first year on the market. I learned the hard way that some manufacturers won't do recalls unless ordered to by the Government and Warranties are crap.

I'm surprised by your answer, and I assume you're in California. Here in Southern California, the water temp even in summer is no more than 60F and I can't imagine diving without a hood.

yeah, about 20-30 min north of you. Went diving this last weekend divers cove in laguna beach the water temp was 68F. I can handle the cold more than I can handle the feeling that I am being choked!
