Hi Michael,
We're covered for instructors but there is room on the boat for 22-23 May, just call Gary at Conch Republic if you want to dive w/ us.
Best,
John

All,

Just want to say thanks to those who have contributed to this organization and helped get this hero's down to Tavernier/Key Largo for their week of diving.

The Soldiers and SUDS staff are traveling today and should arrive later this afternoon. We of course will have pictures of the event and will post them here on ScubaBoard.

Weather forecast is looking good for the week, so keep us in your thoughts and prayers to ensure a great event for these active duty Soldiers.

Good Diving,

I personally want to thank everyone from SB that helped make this Operation Bottom Time a great success, by giving so generously to SUDS to support OBT. The 8 soldiers who got their certifications are very happy, and many of them will probably be SB members soon as well :D

I also want to remind everyone that SUDS and OBT is not a 1 shot deal. SUDS has helped MANY wounded soldiers learn to scuba dive, and the SUDS project marches on! Soon there will be information posted on the next OBT which is scheduled to be in Puerto Rico in September!

Honestly, the best way to help out with this program is to help raise money. Simply put... SUDS needs money to keep this operation rolling. I can honestly tell everyone here that watching these guys learn to dive, and seeing the pure joy that we all know and love from scuba diving was shared by all involved... Without private donations to SUDS (a non-profit organization) events like this wouldn't be possible.

I hope that SB can help keep the ball rolling with SUDS, and show our heroes that we care about them!

I have been trying to find more information on the SUDS program with little luck. I'm law enforcement, not military, but have spent a good bit of time at Wally World with my dad (an Army Staff Sgt) over the years. Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval Hospital are both within an hour of home and I would love to know if there is any need for volunteers to help with the program. If there is a need can someone shoot me a message?

The best way to contact SUDS is through their website SUDS Diving > Welcome to SUDS

If you need more help you can contact me and I will forward your emails to John Thompson or my wife

Cheers

JC
