Here are some shots I took with a the Sea & Sea DX-1G and YS-110 Strobe on a recent trip to St. Croix aboard the Nekton Rorqual. This was my first trip where I used the camera on full manual. I got some ok shots but it is going to take a lot more practice with manual to get the results I will be happy with. I must say I am very happy with the macro mode on this camera.

St. Croix 2010

Any constructive criticism would be welcomed.

Steve,
Great pics.

I would have voted several times for the Squat Anemone Shrimp (M0016708) and the "Banded Coral Shrimp & Moral Eel" (M0016642).

You kept the camera on manual, in general what were your manual settings?

Thanks Jay! If I had brought a computer and had some time to review the pictures, I probably would have entered those as well.

As for the settings on the camera--it varied but in general I used the cameras light meter as guide for exposure and always had the histogram on as a general guide. It was quite the learning experience having only used the camera in full auto mode in the past.

Great diivng with you.

Steve

Very nice photos. I have the same camera, but the ys 27 strobe.
What is the difference between the ys 110 and ys 27 strobes?

I hope I can capture as nice of shots while we're in Bonaire in April.

Very nice

Thanks for the pics... We are going at the end of May and now I have an excellent idea what to expect.
