I suggest you start a new thread on this and organize a "group buy" of Scuba Goop to protest Scuba.com and it's overbearing policies and the conspiracy of them removing Scuba Goop from their site. :thumb:

In the end... I hope you can "show them" (on a matter of principle. ) :thumb:

If you get enough people together, you should be able to get it down to $1 dollar. Please put me down for 1 bottle and let me know where I can send the PAYPAL.

I look forward to your new thread. Please post a link here of it.

EDIT:
PS... remember that everyone in group buys wants "free shipping".

OK ....

Well I guess I take back what I said about reasonable replies.

Lemme get this straight..... A business acquires a product.... They mark it up and sell it to the public....

You appear to have a problem with that....?

You've posted your displeasure with markup and 'raw material cost' based on a different retail outlet...

You have a choice... purchase it or not...

But whatever you do - move on...

Over 100 posts about a scuba marker? Wow , just wow. Get a life!

Lobstah, you just added to the post count ... does that mean you need to get a life too???

It's not about the gear marker (which works fine). It's about price gouging for anything "scuba" and suppression of honest product reviews. Also just the simple idea of passing along a tip that might save other divers a few bucks.

If the thread is so horribly offensive, why not just go to another?

Some friends pointed me toward this thread...OH MY GOD, OP, GET A LIFE!!!!!!

As for the five bucks, it's not about the money, it's about the principle. And if I can save a bunch of folks five bucks each, that is worth a little "obsessing."

Holy crap, what sort of mission are you on? I spend my free time rescuing homeless pets. My friends have other missions. Maybe it is to save sea turtles, maybe it is to fund Diabetes research, maybe it is to teach underprivileged children how to read. Maybe it is to support the right to free speech on the Internet (see my sig line). I simply cannot believe that you could get so worked up over the markup on a stick of paint. Many reasonable, intelligent, sane people have posted here about how small volume purchasing and marketing works, yet you choose to keep up your obsession.

Any divers who need a lot of help saving $5 in their SCUBA career can't afford to dive anyway.

What a silly mission you are on. Step away from the computer, go outside and breathe some fresh air, and talk to a few human beings in person. It will do you good.

Damn.... I think we keep loosing people for the possible "group buy" :headscratch:
Hey, I'm in! :rofl3: I've been spending way too much time lately thinking about how much I need a stick of gear marking paint. :rofl3:

You know, I invested my entire life savings on Scuba Goop! I figured with the mark-up, I'd make a fortune bilking unsuspecting divers out of $3-$4. Now because of FloridaRanger and his smear campaign, I'm ruined, ruined I tell you!!! FloridaRanger you owe me $47.53!!!
