OK, I meant to ask both of you guys... how did you make these serial breakthroughs???

RoatanMan's guess of Divi Dutch Village resort was about a kilometer away from the true location of the Alhambra Casino, but it got us real close.

There are very few beachfront properties on the island that have this kind of ocean access. Even if you don't know that from first-hand experience, just scanning the satellite imagery will point that up. The first place I found had a website photo that was strikingly similar... prolly even the same construction crew and architect.

From the shore dive photo, it shows two identical buildings, right at that water, that are not parallel to each other. Easy find by satellite.

The hard part was deciding exactly where the pickup truck was parked. It may have been 400' to the South, but I'm sticking with my first guess as per the annotated satellite image.

This might be important because it looks like they "parked and walked" to a shore dive entry site. I'm not drawing too much from it as, even by Aruba's standards, this is a mediocre dive location. Thus, it would be hard to surmise their goal on this dive.

That, and a T1 line with a three huge, commercial grade hi-rez monitors.

This is really getting to be a lot of fun. Should make some major news sources when the owner is found!

This is what they were diving on. It's a huge ship's anchor. They were on this spot both days. There was a lot of activity involved with this anchor. The activity on the videos is what I'm keeping to myself for now to prove ownership.

And you guys are fabulous! This is like an episode of CSI, but without the dead bodies. I am waiting with baited breath for the next installment! (Although that could also be because most of my favourite TV shows have finished for the season... :( )

And RoatanMan: I love your "location". Every time I drag dive gear past the TSA, I hold my breath, waiting for disaster. :depressed:

Darn it, DB, you had me believing they found the owner!!! :eek:hbrother:

Aquahound, (such an apt name given this quest you've undertaken)

You and the SCIU (Scubaboard Camera Investigation Unit) have nailed the site of two of the photos. Where to from here? Did I read somewhere that you'd emailed a school??

Yes....I, and a couple others from this thread, have sent e-mails to different contacts down there, including the school. E-mails have been sent in both English and Dutch. I have received no response, and I'm assuming the others haven't received responses either. It may take a couple tries. They might think it's spam or a joke.

BTW, Aquahound was a nickname I was given years ago. I actually am a professional criminal investigator dealing with maritime matters. When I found this camera, I decided to take this on as a little pet project. I just put the info out there. My team of investigators on this board are doing most of the work. They will certainly get credit in the press release when this concludes.

I can expedite this if I start spending money and utilizing resources paid for by your tax dollars, but I don't plan on doing that. This venture is 100% personal project right now.

So, how do we stack up against your professional team? :blinking:
