Sign me up Carrie, do you volunteer to be a team leader again :D? Maybe we can get the same team together again.

We stayed at the Road Way Inn. They had a special price for people participating in the Trash Fest. I think it was like $40 a room. Marie and I split a room which made it a pretty good deal. The rooms aren't anything special, but they were clean. The motel deal was listed last year on the TrashFest's site in the Places to Stay section. I just checked and there is nothing listed there yet.

Hey! I am working on securing rooms at the Rodeway Inn again this year! I'll post as soon as I have confirmation of the rate.

I went diving at the Comal yesterday and the tubers are certainly doing there best to fill it with trash!

As I said, count me in. I will take off work that Friday to get there a little earlier for the start of the festivities.

This sounds like it might be a good beginner dive. Any thoughts on that? I'm taking my OW class/cert in a month. I'm trying to start figuring out how to budget for as many dives as possible, and this one sounds interesting.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Its a cool thing to do, but the comal depending on what section you get can be very similar to diving in your bathtub. Last year my fins were out of the water most of the time and my depth gauge never hit 6 feet.

But, its allot of fun a good way to meet people and dive a new place.

Totally worth it. :cool2:
