Looking for a place to dive this weekend? Need a dive buddy? No problem. Come out for a dive on Giant Stride and explore sites around the lake not accessible by shore. Space is available on Saturday morning and afternoon charters. To save your space, send a reservation request from www.LakeTravisScuba.com.

I have been promoting Lake Travis Scuba with our Laredo Scuba Diving Club. We plan to dive with you all.

I should be up that way toward the end of August. Hope to meet up with some swampers and come dive with y'all.

Now is the time to go diving w/Robert! Just last night I was fortunate enough to score two really nice pairs of sunglasses from Starnes Island, in like-new condition.

These are the exact models I found last night:

The Oakley glasses - $210 - Oakley Polarized FLAK JACKET Sunglasses available at the online Oakley store

Raybans $169 - Ray-Ban RB4057 Sunglasses | Official Ray-Ban Site

I'd say that trip paid off

What will YOU find??

Last nights take from the lake - 15 pairs of glasses.
Last weeks take from the lake - 23 pairs of glasses.

Time is ripe to recover some shades, the party barges have been out in full force seeding the lake with new finds weekly.

Come out for a dive, space is available on Saturdays charters. Submit your reservation at Welcome to Lake Travis Scuba

Robert

Hmm... I might be able to make it out there mid-Sept. My OW cert dives are next weekend, and then I'm oncall for work for a couple weeks. My wife then has surgery on Sept 7th, but maybe a week or two after that I can make it out there for some treasure hunting. It sounds really great. Just have to hope that the wife will be up for it. And the funds. :)

I'm looking at signing up on The Giant Stride Sept 11th . I will be there Friday night for the Lake Travis/Aledo State champions H.S. football. So I might as well stay and get in a dive or two.

Thanks for the great dive Robert! I looked up the glasses found and they are SmithOptics from Italy, Polarized "Riverside Tortoise Green Mirrored" that retails for 159.00. They will be on Ebay soon

It would have been interesting to keep a tally of the number and value of the sunglasses found this summer in the lake. The party barges are still going strong, which means more sunglasses to recover. Just today we recovered another five pair, and that is only because we had two AOW classes out and one requested to stay at Wreck Alley for all their work.

If you haven't been out to dive the walls, recover some lost valuables and enjoy a day on Lake Travis, you are missing out on some fun times in our wonderful pond. Sunset and weekend charter schedules are on the website along with the reservation request form. Check it out at www.LakeTravisScuba.com
