A group of 15 Risso's dolphins and pilot whales are the first to die in Taiji.
There have been several groups herded into the cove since start of the killing season,
but of these many were picked for the aquarium trade and the rest were let go.
I think it is important for people to know where these dolphins are going and who is
ultimately responsible for these killing drives. The answer may surprise you.:(

Where do the Captured Taiji Dolphins Go? - Sea Shepherd

I think it would be more productive of Paul Watson, and the Sea Shepherds Society to head down to New Zealand right now and help out with the pilot whale strandings down there.

Dozens of whales die in second New Zealand mass beaching this month | Mail Online

Out of 80 pilot whales that stranded, they are struggling to save the last 24 that are still alive. This is in a remote part of New Zealand, and they are struggling for people, and resources to help.

A co-worker mentioned the movie "The Cove". Got it from the local library. A real eye opener.

Why hasn't the ALF or ARM done something aggressive about this situation?

Pete Bethune was there.

That's good to hear. My understanding is that the Sea Shepherd Society has washed their hands of him. But the people in New Zealand managed to return 14 pilot whales back into the the wild.

Sea Shepherd did NOT wash their hands of him. It was a ploy done with hope that the Japanese would go easier on him at sentencing.

We just watched The Cove last night. Very well done for this type of documentary. Very eye opening and sobering.
The movie is on Netflixs instant streaming for those who want to see it.
