Does Nikon make a digital Nikonos?

Nauticam make a housing for the Sony NEX5 that accepts Nikonos lenses using an adapter.

The 15mm Nikonos lens would be nice to resurrect. It was always great optically and was one reason so many people held on the their Nikonos system until the bitter end.

Looks nice but that's the 35mm lens
I did just google some 15mm (wide angle) shots with this system and they look pretty good.
There will be some folks looking in storage for that lens, which used to sell for $1200-1500.

The 15mm does indeed work, although the older version with the longer back part won't work.

This is really exciting news! Any chance you can show a side-by-side pic of the Nikonos V + 15mm U/W Nikkor next to the Nauticam Nex-5 + 15mm U/W Nikkor? (I'd like to get some idea of relative sizes.)

There will be some folks looking in storage for that [15mm U/W Nikkor] lens, which used to sell for $1200-1500.

FWIW, I paid $1967US for mine new from Helix in November 1999.
