Saw it last night in iMax 3D, good movie, kept me on edge.

I don't see a mad rush of wannabe cave divers heading to the overhead from this.

I enjoyed it. I see some didn't but I don't think if the whole story was about realistic cave diving it would do very well. Most people just don't get it nor do they need too. But overall we really enjoyed it.

Saw it on Saturday, was very impressed - if anything it may make some people
re-think" a commitment to Cave diving before jumping in ... and like previous posts - it definitly kept me on the edge of my seat .....

I don't know. My desire to get into cave diving was definitely increased after seeing it.

What were the inaccuracies in the movie from a diving point of view?

The kid ,Josh, breathing from the valve of the tank was probably unnecessary given he could have connected a low pressure inflator hose to breathe from.

What else?

*shrug* unnecessary but not unrealistic. Spent one of my dive master classes doing that.

I think there were o2 bottles being used as bailout at one point near the beginning, other than that it seemed fairly accurate.

My thought exactly.

I saw the movie last night with some of my caving buddies. Our verdict was that it wasn't "too bad" of a caving/diving movie, especially considering the competition.

The vertical scenes in the beginning (e.g., rappelling) were extremely unrealistic. But later some of the rope work wasn't bad. Especially when they were trying to climb out during the flood. One of the actors obviously had some experience with the Frog system, and had some pretty good technique.

The cave diving scenes were all pretty stupid and unrealistic.

In all of the caving movies, I am always amazed at how well illuminated the caves are, especially when there's no light. Where does all of that ambient light come from way down underground?
