I like that idea!!! I could see some nice pelagics coming in on that:rocker:

So all of this raises the question: If you are diving near someone who is "bait", are you really solo diving?

Actully that's a good point. at what point are you solo diving?

if you go into the water at the same time as a boatload of others are you solo? If you go in with one other person, but split up are you solo?

Stoo,

My buddy moved 1,500 miles away and 'find a new buddy' or 'stop diving' are both non-starters.

............Let's cut the crap and post the truth about why we like diving alone.....................

My gas consumption dropped big-time, I no longer play "try to find the U/W squirrel", I see things that aren't on someone else's agenda, it is safer, thoughts are starting to pile up...

OK -either give me a link to a serious database app or I better quit here.

I just like the peace and quiet to photograph what I want without somebody kicking up a sandstorm around me and stay in one place photographing one subject as long as I have gas to manage this safely.

Overweighting yourself by say 6-8 kg and then finding a nice clear patch of sand at 5m to take your fins off and practice some dance moves. Works wonders for the running man/moonwalk technique. Feel free to sing to yourself whilst doing so. The octopus and wrasse haven't joined in Disney chorus style just yet, but we live in hope........
