Hello to everyone in the forum!
I'm from Bulgaria,my name is Radostin( in short Rado) 2 or 3 years ago a friend of mine bought a Sea Doo scooter( I think the model is Classic) from Lidl in Dublin Ireland. We used the scooter a couple of times and it worked very good.
2 months ago the owner of the scooter called me and told me that scooter didn't work anymore. I took the scooter and saw that propeller don't spin at all.
I think there are two possibilities:
1. The main axis is on insertions and they broke down!
2. The water was penetrating during dive and the motor sunk.
I've seen that everything inside is sealed,and I don't know how it could be repaired.
Have someone any ideas about that!

This is the description of a leak. These units are prone to this, as it has occurred to many many owners(me included). The leak can be in the battery compartment or the motor compartment, in the back. Both areas have a leak sensor that triggers the on/off cycle you describe. My Explorer after 4 dives to less than 30' had a large size puddle in the rear compatment, which off course rusted and ruined the motor and other electronics. Best solution is to buy another brand.

You have absolutely right -I opened the scooter and it was full with water everywhere!The electronics is out of order;it's very interesting that motor is still intact ;the main damage is in gear box in the back! All of gear wheels were rusty and blocked.I asked my local dealer about the spare parts and for eventual repair and he sent me price list of everything! He also advised me do not open the scooter,but as I described before the scooter is not my own and the owner didn't agree to send it for mending.It turned out that the spare parts and repair are more expensive that to buy a new scooter again!
To repair my scooter I need a new electronics (about 30 Euro) and new gear wheels(actually 2 of them).
As jfrano said the main problem is in all O-rings.
Now I not sure whether to spend money for mend and finally to come again to this point(to think how to repair it -Again!!)
Probably Manufacturer has to think about solving this problem!
Otherwise nobody will buy SeaDoo Seascooters!

You have to replace the batteries.. they actually are NOT charged as the indicator shows... ask me how I know.... GRRRRRRRR

I know this is an old thread, but people seem to find it with google, so I will share my SeaDoo GTI experience also.
The machine is quite easy to dis-mental even without the maintenance manual. You just have to find the 3 screws hidden under the soft pads on the bottom of the battery compartment and after that the insides of the whole middle section comes out, you just need to pull quite a much. After that all the screws are exposed and it's easy to open up the rest of it.
I had a problem where the scooter run fine for 3-5 seconds and then stopped until the gas was pressed again. So it seemed like a battery problem, but the battery was good (and worked on another scooter just fine). I took the whole damn thing apart and noticed that the scooter started to work normally after I repositioned the motor temperature sensor and gearbox audio(?) sensor.
So for others whose SeaDoo GTI is working only for few seconds at time, the issue might be with the battery OR with faulty safety sensors (leakage, temperature or sound sensor).
