I had a pretty good time diving with you ae3753. Thanks for all your help with weight and look forward to diving with you again. Went from 50 pounds with rental gear to figure out I only need about 15 pounds of lead with my own gear. I would suggest Don to anyone looking for a DM to help them tune skills or show them around.

It was a pleasure meeting you guys and hearing some of the advice you guys had to offer. I picked up some good tips on how to set-up my BP/W after looking at some your rigs. I'm glad I went to a BP/W set-up before buying a jacket. It felt pretty good on land and under water. One day I will get me a scooter Ben and ride with you one day.

Roy I dove with the same wet suit you have and I was pretty good under in 51 temp water. I was pretty good after the dive with my nice warm jacket:coffee: I seen only one kid freezing his butt off after the dive. I could have done one more but after lunch with the guys I decided to hit the road. Did any of you guys do another dive after I dropped you guys off?

Ironworker,

Glad that you had a good time and that you wrote back on this thread. Ben's comment of "ranting and ravings" had me scared. Ben is kinda crazy, huh? Hahaha just kidding Ben.

Thanks for the kind words, and I will be more than happy to dive with you next time around too. We can spend more time on setting up your rig and dropping even more weight. If you have any questions in the mean time, feel free to PM me.

So everyone bolted after lunch? I remember it was not long ago that this crew would do 3 dives a day minimum.

Its the darn drysuits. They made us warm water weenies!

Wow talk about a blast from the past. this threads been dead for a while... What kind of skills practice were you thinking of Impreza? I'm sure if you post a new thread with a list of things you want to practice you'll find someone who wants to do the same.

Ben

They schedule Seattle, Los Angeles and now San Diego "Tweeks" on a regular basis - but had no idea there was once a Mo Cal "Tweak?"

C'mon Ben -- I vote you co-ordinator of another :)!

Ben

I'm looking to take GUE fundamentals soon (hopefully) as my schedule hasn't work with the last classes. Right now the most obvious skills practice I need is wing diving, and drysuit diving. I'm new to both.

Thanks, Ryan

You should post a thread and start building a team you can take the class with... and dive as much as possible. I'm booked up for July but if you want to jump in the water and get a dive in let me know.
