Well I just happen find find some new kids to adopt at a yard sale. The guy was getting rid of some dive equipment for a 80 year old friend of his. He said the gear had been siting in a storage shed for years. I took a look and behold :shocked2: there were two sets of triples, a Scubapro Mrk2/R108, a Mrk5/R109, & several other goodies. He said he just wanted to get rid of the stuff real quick. Of course I had to help the poor fella out so I paid him a slight adoption fee and I adopted the kids.

Most of the tanks had a born on dates of 1956,1958, &1960 and made by PST. The regs look like they are in fair shape and prob only need some new o rings, seats, and some cleaning up. I will use them for sure when I don't use my DH regs. As for the triple tanks, the tank valve threads are on the outside and the manifolds are unique. Anyone have any ideas about them and the manifolds.

WOW very nice find.....two sets of triples...I am jealous!!! oh yea the mk2 set is also great! Not fair! I am not a head hunter for forums, but....the question On the manifold...if you are not a member at Vintage doublehose, you need to be. You will get tons of great info there. Just some FYI that was passed on to me then to you.

Awesome score! I don't know about the triples but the manifolds sure look interesting. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with all the answers.
If the kids are too rambunctous just send them up here for a little R&R, I'll even buy the bus ticket - one way of course.

of this 3 tank set ?
what is the point of 3 tanks directly connected vs one larger tank ?
where can you get them inspected and pressure tested ?
is it considered safe to use such old equipment for diving ?

I'm still using my 40 year old Mk5 and R109! There were not many "larger" tanks back in those days. Double or even triple tanks were used. Those tanks are probably fine to dive if OP can get them filled or fill them himself. My steel 72 made in 1968 is still going strong, it has another 4 years till the next hydro.
