Hi. I have a double sync cord Ikelite to Ikelite that had a issue with the cord at the piece that goes to the housing. If I wiggle it I can get it to work so I suspect a partial wire break. Is it cos effective to repair? Thanks.

jpomerantz,

Ikelite does not repair sync cords. We can replace (exchange) the cord for $85.00 plus shipping.

Send the old cord to:

Ikelite Underwater Systems
Attn: Service Dept.
50 W. 33rd St.,
Indianapolis, Indiana 46208

Best Regards,

Brett Foster - Ikelite

Will do - Thanks. Is there any thought about putting a strain relief at the junction of the cord and the plugs to avoid this type of issue?

jpomerantz,

The junction points you mentioned are not normally a high stress point and it was therefore decided that strain reliefs were only necessary on the cord ends. There are of course always exceptions.

Brett Foster - Ikelite

Does the exchange only apply to cords shipped back to you or will the local distributor do the same deal ?

Thanks.

Steve.
