I certainly have nothing better to do today. Looks to me like the sun could be out by my 1 P.M. target entry time. Would be fun to finally meet you in person. I'll be out front somewhere on the west side with a camera and a yellow pony and a rented, Force E regulator. :D

Had wondered why I sometimes see huge helmet conchs in this area and then find no sign of them at others. Apparently they're pretty good diggers. Or, maybe this one died and some caring diver tried to bury it.

Kevin

Sorry Kevin, I didn't see your post until just now.....I was there, but did not knot to look for you,.....We may go tomorrow, just for the nonsense value of diving when it is really nasty out :)
Today was actually pretty nice....

Massacre to be?

I was scrambling trying to decide whether I should try to switch to video when I noticed what was going on in the background here. But, apparently they only like to take them off the ends of spears. :D

If you can provide exact location for the lionfish eradication teams, it would be helpful. Just know that spearing is not allowed at the bridge. Need to use nets. I hear nets are easier with these juveniles anyhow..

Not me. it's still alive. :D

Another whatzit?

West just after entry on Friday. I assume it's an egg mass of some sort?IMG_2233.jpg
It has a holdfast on the right and was waving in the "breeze".

The storm just "hit" in Lake Worth where I live, on the Intracoastal. We can't actually "see" the intracoastal right now, just waves of rain blasting across the grass and trees and into the hurricane glass. It looks cool, but if it intensifies alot, I doubt I will be diving the BHB this afternoon...I do prefer being able to see at least a couple of feet past the front end of my truck.

Then again, this hits in waves, so maybe :)

Judging from the tail it's a Goliath grouper, never seen one at the bridge which is surprising as I see them everywhere else.....
Saw an even smaller lionfish than Kev's (more distinct spots) and can vouch it has been eradicated.
Jenny- did see a huge lionfish during a night dive off the second legs of the west bridge south side, tried to stab it with my muck stick but he hauled a**....
Next time!
John
