I received the following from one of my dive buddies that was actually diving at the time the lady that died was...

"Thanks for the information, [about what happened at the bridge]. Just as I read your email, I received a call about the same incident. The lady that died was a woman that I was training for Dive Con and turned her down last week from continuing her training for health reasons. Other than that, her dive skills were lacking. She had signed up to go with me and I told her no. I did not know she was there at the same time I was. She went out with someone she just met. Hard to chew on this right now. "

Was over there Sat. morning and saw a baby lionfish on the far east side.

Can you take these legally with a slurp gun? Very cute, but I wish very much it would not be there.

Good morning everyone.
Well the dive party is only 2 weeks away. I am getting more and more excited. Cannot wait to see all my friends and making of new ones.
Please I need to get an accurate account on who is going on the dive charter. I would really love to see if we can fill the boat from Ocean Divers. If we can't, they will be opening it up to the public as well. Please get back to me asap. I would like to give them the count by end of this week.

Also I hope to see everyone at BHB for the dive party.

I understand the manatees have been spotted back at BHB. So I so hope we can dive with them as well. Also, I need to find out what everyone is planning on bringing for the party after we dive. We found out from Force E that they are giving us a door prize to be given out. Also there is a door prize from BC Canada as well.
Take care and have a wonderful week.
See you all soon.

yes...You can take lionfish at the bridge in any manner except by spear as Florida law states you cannot spearfish within 100 yards from a swimming area.

On Mon Oct 1st I spoke with Brian at Force-E in Riviera Beach. He gave me their BHB Night Dive schedule through the end of 2012. The store has scheduled Night Dives through the end of Mar 2013; you can pickup that schedule at the store.

Any errors or omissions are my fault.

Sun Oct 14th - Start: 7:03 PM

Sun Oct 28th - Start: 7:07 PM

Wed Nov 14th - Start: 7:19 PM

Wed Nov 28th - Start: 6:55 PM

Thu Dec 13th - Start: 7:04 PM

Fri Dec 28th - Start: 7:13 PM

The times listed above are one hour before high tide. (I used Protides.com location "Port of Palm Beach" to determine high tide times.) These are the times that Force-E recommends that you enter the water in order to get a 2 hour dive.

Please call the Force-E Riviera Beach store at 561-845-2333 to sign up. You must sign a waiver to participate and pick up an after hours parking permit.

Force-E recommends all divers have a primary light, back up light and tank light. Please try to show up at least 45 minutes before start time so they can get everyone settled and in the water on time. This includes giving yourself enough time to swing by the store to sign your waivers and pick up your parking pass.

The park closes at 10 PM. You must be out of the park by then.

P.S. I am not affiliated with Force-E. I am a satisfied customer of their business.

Before it's buried in posts can we all just stop for a moment and take in what rat-man said?

They stopped for a minute but I had my head down looking for seahorses. A woman behind me was trying desperately to get my attention and when I looked up they were both within arms length.

He was preoccupied with seahorses and almost missed the manatees. Can this place be any more magical?!?

Any reports on the bridge trolls? Viz and temp? I wanna take my girlfriend who's a new certified diver to dive there, but don't wanna drive 6 hrs round trip for a sucky 2 hr dive.
Thanks

A friend of ours went today and reports no viz at BHB. Call Force E Dive Shop in Riviera Beach or maybe Pura Vida Dive on Singer Island for a current report..............and that current report is probably from yesterday or maybe early in the morning.

It's worth the risk.

It's worth the risk.

Unless, of course, one suddenly learns that there ain't no viz.
