I currently own the epl1 and the olympus pt housing. I am getting ready to upgrade and just want to make sure of the following.

Does the zen dome port and the 45 mm zen port work with this housing.

It seems all the lenses work and I will assume that the strobes(tray arms) I use now should work wiith the epl5.

Any info would really be appreciated.
Thank You all

PT-EP10 has the same port system as the past systems (without the head lights) and will work with the ZEN Underwater ports for PT-housings and the port adapter for the 67mm closeup lenses. Same fiber optic ports and the tray and arms should work just as well. Not much change from the other housings other than going back to the port without the lights. New lenses including the 60mm macro and 12-50 (at 12 and 50mm only by power zoom in macro and W/A mode) will work with the stock port.

Hi Phil,
Are Zen making a new port or extensions for the sixty macro and maybe the 12-50 for the Pen system???
Kind regards,
Bruce

Just cancelled the order for the epl5 and ordered the omd-em5 from Reef Photo. A bit more $ but it seems like a better system. Hope I was right

What swayed your decision?
I'm eagerly saving for the EPL-5 and housing. . .
Bruce

I did some reading up on the omd and then after talking to reef photo it just sounded like the better camera for a bit more money

There will be a new Zen dome and an adapter for the old ports to fit the new (old) Olympus bayonet mounts.

Jack

The omd, housed, is more than a bit more money. The oly housing, is $1200 and has no compatibility with all the other PEN ports and housings.

The nauticam housing is $1400 plus port, and the port for the 12-50 lens is $800!

The epl5, in an oly housing, will be about the same price as the nauticam housing, alone.

To me, the elp5, with the same sensor, autofocus speed, and contrinuous drive speed as the omd, looks like the bargain of the century.
