Red filter options on video

I will be heading to Yap/Palau in May and will be taking video using my Sony RX100. I posted this question in the Sony Snapper section, but did not receive a response that was simple to implement. I am planning to take some video with a wide angle (hoping to catch some Manta Rays) and I am trying to figure out my red filter options. Does anyone have experience using Lightroom to make adjustments to video post dive so I don't have to carry a red filter? I have not found a solution that I like (so far) to pair a red filter with a wide angle lens. The WB for video on Sony is 8 steps, and that is just too much when I have marine life going by.

Have you tried manual white balance on your RX100 ?

If you really want a filter, are you looking for an external that mounts on your UW port or something internal in the housing ?

Interceptor121 had a post that walked through step by step how to manually set the white balance for video. It was 8 steps, so that tells me the Sony is not real video/white balance friendly.

I was thinking about picking up a 67mm threaded red filter and then attaching a wide angle lens to that; however, I am concerned that might throw off the focal length for the WA lens. Have you tried that?

I actually tried that configuration when I went from an Ikelite wide angle lens to a Fantasea Big Eye wide angle lens. It was easy with the Ikelite because a red filter could be slipped over the front of the lens. With the big eye lens you can't so I opted to try the 67mm threaded filter. It became a big hassle when I got in the water because of bubbles in between the lenses. I can deal with having to remove the lens to remove some bubbles but having to unscrew 2 lenses and remove bubbles from both was just more than I cared to deal with. I ended up jimmy rigging the filter on the inside of the housing which worked great.... but I'm stuck in that config for an entire dive. As far as focal length goes, I really didn't notice a difference. Good luck!

Wanted to post an update: I ended up going with the Inon UWL-105AD lens, and the Ikelite 6441.41 red filter (3.0") just so happens to fit perfectly over it. If I don't have the wide angle lens on and I need the filter, then I can just cover the camera lens with the red filter.

I have had a similar problem with a RecSea 67mm converter. I ended up drilling 4 very small holes in the metal around the filter. If you are careful not scratching the glass, it will work.
