I just purchased my first D1 hybrid and would like to have a balanced pee valve installed, I live in Charleston, SC.......Waterproof can you please give me the name and address of someone or a LDS that can properly do this for me please.
I would like to stay local and dont want to have to ship off my new suit
Thank you

I think dive right in scuba can do it.

Do it yourself. With the D1 you have to break the psychological barrier of thinking about punching holes through two layers: the outer shell, and the inner "mesh" lining. If you're not comfortable doing this, I can mention 2 places in Florida that do great work.

1) Extreme Exposures in High Springs, Florida (they helped out with a Halcyon P-valve in my D1)

2)Steve Gamble (gamblescuba dot com) in Gainesville, Fl. (One of the best for drysuit repairs, etc.)

Though they are not in South Carolina, the expense is chump change to box the suit up and ship it out to a place that is reputable and knowledgeable about such things.

[On a side note, good luck getting Waterproof to respond to your inquiry. Though they make some great dive gear, their customer service falls well short of what is expected of a high-end equipment outfitter.]
