Dived Car Cemetery on the 19th and the visibility was awesome too, very unusual believe me normally it is less than 5M.

Surprised you were not cold, I am still wearing a 5mm as water temps are still 23C.

I don't usually dive with a wet suit, and I get weird looks every time. :p I am very happy when the water is 23C cold although this particular dive was around 25C.

We went there the day after you visited as we had something to do on the 19th. Hassan and the boat man know you very well too. Hassan is a cool dude and he joined us for these two dives. He was also pleasantly surprised at the visibility of both sites (and so were we). Said we were lucky to have this kind of visibility.

In the meantime, we might dive at Musandam with Freestyle next friday. This will be our first time to go there. :)

Visibility was back to normal yesterday :( and CC was 24C, I doubt I would have done 70 minutes without my 5mm, my buddy was cold in her 3mm.

In Hyde's Quarry in Westminster, MD, USA with an OW class. 24 feet and 43 degrees. Makes one look forward warmer weather, but I was wet!

My local mudhole. The weather was spectacular, but the rivers overflowing with snowmelt and the first plankton bloom of the year had vis at anywhere from 3 to maybe 8 feet. Thank goodness for macro ...

The pool this weekend with a class. Our ocean temp. is now 43F also, so good diving (2 dives in a day) begins next weekend! Gotta dust off the farmer john.

#25 and 26 today in Weeki Wachee. Not very challenging but interesting to look at the critters there. Alas, we didn't see any mermaids until AFTER the dive. I had a SAC of only 0.71 on #26, which is a personal best (outside of the pool).

Yesterday did my first dry dive at Camp Cove, Sydney. The day before did some training and mapping and a fun dive at Gordon's Bay. Last weekend did a nice long one at Shark Point, then 2 more at Gordon's Bay later in the day, and helped out with a DSD the next day. Visibility has been crystal clear and there has been some major fish migration. Schools numbering in the high thousands easily.

So the weather gods and goddesses of the deep waters did respond. We dived on the wreck of the Niagara 2 near Tobermory. The water was like glass. My buddy, who has done this wreck over 400 times, said he'd never seen these conditions: clear water, flat as a pancake water, and no other divers to muck up the viz.
From the dive boat, you could see down to the bottom at 90 ft. The deck of the Niagara is a 70 ft and the smokestack is at 55 ft.

From the bottom, at 90 ft, I looked up and could see the name on the bow and stern of the dive boat, Bruce Isles. The captain said she could see us putting the lift bag on the mooring line clear as day.

37F Degrees water temp. I feel lucky to have seen something I will remember for the rest of my lifeniagara 1x.jpgniagara x.jpgniagara 2 x.jpg.
