Thanks for all your recs. I think the biggest problem we had was not knowing where good entry was for Andrea I. We did the Lake today which was amazing. Totally the type of dive we expected to see here w a beautiful double reef and moderately easy entry. Then we did Something Special which was a totally easy entry but there was unexpectedly strong current in the end of the day

Plan to do Hilma Hooker, bachelors beach and maybe wind sock tomorrow

If you want to see entry pictures for a lot of the sites: Scuba Shore Diving Region: ABC Islands

Look for sand channel breaks between the ironshore on the south side. Many of them lead easily out to deeper water. Also some helpful divers have piled up small piles of coral rubble indicating the best entry point at some. I realize Hooker is a popular dive but IMO it's not the easiest entry.

About 40' north of the Salt Pier is a nice beach entry. A little south of where people normally park. I got in there after I'd shredded my leg at Vista Blue.

How did the hooker go???

Good to hear. Have fun and don't forget to post that report when you get back!

Oil Slick is an excellent night dive. Just make sure that you mark the top of the stairs with a Chen light or strobe light that won't burn out before the end of the dive. We use two chem lights, maybe three. One for our truck, one for top of the stairs and one in the water at the lower part of the stairs. This is a very secluded area so don't do it unless you're pretty confident and make sure you do it a few times as a day dive first.

We were driving around Bonaire and found this site ....

Couldn't find a reference to it in any of the local dive site guides, but it was a winner!!

Anyone else ever dove it? We call it "Don't Do Nuthin' Here".

Hooker was great! Entry was not bad. Salt pier after was even better. Also enjoyed oil slick and then went to an unmarked site Taylor Made up north where the coral was super lush. My girlfriend has now got the hang of these entries and we r having a great time. Full report to follow next week. Thanks!

Sounds good.......& ---this post no good without pics......lol
