I am in the market for a new drysuit and have it narrowed down to 3 choices and was wondering what the pros and cons are of each. I am looking at the Waterproof D7, Whites Catalyst or the DUI CLX450. Any thoughts?

Most of my diving will be in the northwest in 55 degree water and colder.

Why have you narrowed it down to those 3?

I've had a White's Catalyst & have had friend that have had the CLX450. Don't know anything about the Waterproof suit. Both suit are made of heavy cordura. Plus,... It makes it very tough & durable. Munis,.... Can make motion more difficult & can cause a lot of drag in the water. Just my $.02.

This! The super tough cordura or flattened neoprene make sense in a rental inventory where comfort can be compromised for durability due to mass usage. If you are buying your own suit which no one would wear except you, then there are more options than the above three you outlined.

Been diving a clx450 for many years and love it. It's a great suit and DUI is an excellent company. It's a tough suit, well made, will dry out in minutes (condensate), and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. I dive it in some very tough conditions and very long dives.

SANTI is the only way to go imo

If your considering a DUI, you might want to wait and hold off until next summer. DUI has demo days all across the country and they just finished up this weekend and start back up end of next spring I think. You can go to it and test dive exactly what you want as many times as you want for 10 bucks. After you attend one, they give you a pretty nice coupon for a suit. The offers they give you change from year to year but usually one of them gives you a discount on a new suit.

Heres the link to them...looks like the demos start back up at the beginning of March.

If you're really considering a DUI.... go check out a SANTI suit, and you'll quit considering a DUI. No Joke.
