Obviously everyone has an opinion, and some have had a bad experience I am sure it happens now and then, and probably with any shop, my wife dove with the shop that does the cruise lines and had a terrible dive, but we do not hold that against them.

having Dived With Martin for more than 200 dives I can say I have never had a dive limited by anything other than air or bottom time. they have nitrox or large tanks or anything else you might like if you ask ahead of time. I have dived every known dive site and then some that are not listed. Every dive master I have met there is very proffessional and experienced, there turn over is not noticable in my 6 years of being their customer. And they will pick me up at any hotel I stay at, I believe they have more boats than any other OP, only because any time I dive with them I see several of their boats as we pass by.

they take small groups but can accomodate large groups if you like, they are flexable and willing to accomodate any reasonable request. they take care of my gear in between dives, and I take care of their DMs because they earn it. If DWM were the most expensive I would still dive with them, if they are the cheapest then consider it a bonus. I am not affiliated with them in any way, but I do love the shop and the people that run it so I will continue to save money with them.

It was pretty long ago that I used DWM, but I remember liking that they let me and an instructor that was from the same hotel do our own thing when asked. No issues. Like some others, the gear rinse/storage is a non-issue (no thanks), and the ride to the dive site it the biggest value for me with any op.
Again, a few years back, but I think last time I checked- for a week of nitrox dives a Dressel (@Iberostar) package was the cheapest option. I had no problems with them either, and they always let me use their analyzer, and "their" rinse tank no matter who I dive with.

Back from my trip, Dive with Martin was GREAT. Picked us up everyday at 7:30, Orlando our DM was very professional. They set up all the gear for us, I barely touched anything. We all dove our own computers, stayed down as long as we wanted, people went up when they hit 700psi and just stayed with the SMB line. Some of us were nearly 90 minutes on Columbia Shallows. Asked for 100's for my wife and they never charged us. SI's were all on the boat, and those that brought their own gear took it off with them everyday and rinsed it at the hotel. I don't know if they offer a gear rinsing/storage service but I didn't see anyone use it. They also threw in a free video of my last dive. No complaints!

Very nice of you to report back. How'd you like Cozumel in general?

We used DWM for the first time last year.

Like the early pick up at our southern dock
Like the DM (same all week)
Like the boats
Like the service (rinsing I don't know about because I rinse our gear at the house)
Like the pricing

They fit our needs perfectly. Can't say anything bad or negative about them. Just booked again for May/June. Requested the same DM so we'll see how that goes.

How true. No dive op sets out to have a bad time, but things happen, it's diving and it's not always perfect. First thing to remember, when your ejaculating your opinion on websites, you could impact someones livelihood.

It was nice, visibility was excellent first two days, then we got a norte and couldn't dive for two days.. next day vis was still great and then for whatever reason the next two days it wasn't very good. i'm not sure what happened overnight but what can ya do. i like the coral formations and all the swim throughs, but was disappointed that there wasn't more marine life.. i mentioned this in another thread and i think i just had unrealistic expectations of what caribbean diving would be like. it was my first time in the caribbean, i think to get what i'm looking for i'll have to head to the pacific. that said i absolutely loved the cenotes and bull shark dive i did in playa. and you can't beat the price of diving in cozumel. i dove for $25/dive with rental gear.. looking at hawaii, palau, etc.. and the price is almost $90 per dive with rental gear. i like $25/dive :)

i'll be back for whale shark season, but i'll probably split my time between cozumel and playa, couple days of reef diving, couple days of cenotes. the value for boat diving and cheap flights is pretty hard to beat.

I dove the major sites in Kauai back in 2005 and other than for the tremendous number of turtles it didn't come close to what Coz offers & it was $115 for a 2 tank trip WITH MY OWN GEAR. The only place I've dove that compares price wise is the Florida Keys but again Coz had more to offer in a more compact area.
