My gf has had 2 Mares BCDs leak from the stitching from the top part of the BCD directly behind her head. It's annoying to say the least. The first occurred after less than 20 dives and was replaced. The replacement leaked after less than 50. We Aquasealed it, but bought another BCD and won;'t touch Mares BCDs again.

Yeah this..^^^

Even worse than the actual issue itself is Mares' lack of dealing with the issue appropriately. My BCD was out of warranty by only 3 months, and they wouldn't warranty the product, even though it's an obvious defect, and/or design flaw. I hope they enjoy the $100 for the replacement bladder because that's the last dime they're ever getting from me!!!

Hi
I just noticed I have the same small leak in the seam around the head area
i just had about 40 dives with the BC
looks to me like a manufacturing problem and should be n/c replacement
mine is also just a few months after warranty
contacted Mares and they were helpful to get me a part number for the replacement part but directed me to the local authorized dealer to buy
i am waiting for the price...
where did you get yours for a $100? I might decided to do it for a 100 but if more expensive I probably go for the new BC.
I tired aquaseal 2 times but it did not work well and started leaking under the pressure test from the tank... Trying aquaseal 3rd and last time.

Just an update on my BCD repair.
Third time worked like a charm. Aquaseal did the trick. My BD is repaired now bit I also have ordered replacement through my local dive shop.
Replacement part number for MARES Icon BCD bladder is 47200934. Cost is in the range of $84USD or $100CDN.
