Same here, wrist slate with precalculated bailouts. Other slates are left attached in case I ever get "chatty". Never happens...

BTW, nothing beats WetNotes if you actually have to hold a conversation.

I use wet notes and just picked up an MP3 player arm band to use for my tables on my wrist.

I've got one of the cheap multi-page wrist slates like Jim was talking about (bungee instead of o-rings). However, in stock form it SUCKED. I had to do a few mods to mine to make it perfect. First, and most importantly, I flipped the bungee over that holds the pages together. If not, the knots dig in to your arm if you're not wearing a long-sleeved wetsuit AND it reduces writable space. Secondly, I got rid of the goofy plastic clips that hold the pencil in place. That thing breaks my pencil on over half of the times I try to deploy it. I cut them off, sanded them down to flat, drilled 4 holes, and ran a piece of bungee through it to create two little loops to feed it through. Then, when installing the bungee on the wrist mount, I make sure all of the knots are away from my skin.

LOL! Yes, indeed. Obviously wasn't designed by a diver. -had one of those...

I now use a piece of heatshrink tubing over the pencil, won't break. Sharpens just fine. Push it under the bungee that holds it to your wrist.
