Newly minted AOW looking for somebody or a group to buddy up with this weekend at Pennyroyal. I'd prefer to stay above the second thermocline, at least for the first dive. If anybody is interested, I can also bring a batch of great roasted wings for SI snacking. (Yes, I'm not above bribing :) )

I don't know; thought about it, but got spoiled in Bonaire back in May. Would be nice to dive without the added hassles of solo gear (mainly the 30 cf pony tank clipped off my D-rings). Say, have you learned of the Facebook page call Kentucky Piranha Patrol? It's a closed group, so you'll need to ask to join, but I don't think that will be a problem. There are a number of friendly people on there who come down to Pennyroyal often, from varied parts of KY.

I assume you know Marco's pages; he's training students at his quarry in Nashville I believe.

Richard.

Yep, I know Marcos... Got my OW from him. I'm actually running over to his quarry tomorrow to pick up 2 tanks he sold me (great price, and hydroed this year). Don't know if I'll dive down there, but I'm packing up the gear and putting it in the car... you know, just in case.

Chris or Dennis can likely find someone for you to dive with if you just show up.

To just close the loop, dive with drrich2 Friday. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, he taught me a few things I didn't know. Gear guy.

Wow,.... I would have thought it would have been busy, being a holiday weekend. I know my LDS had 2 instructors teaching Sat. & Sun. I'm there most 3/5 weekends teaching. If you're ever there, look me up. I may not be able to dive with you at that time, but I usually know of others looking for buddies. To know if I'm there, I drive a red Ford pick- up with a tall camper shell & I typically wear a faded yellow & blue or yellow & orange drysuits. Just stop by & if I can help you out, I will.

I was surprised, too. I was only there Friday July 4'th, and it was so sparse there were plenty of empty pick nick tables for setup.

I suspect Saturday and Sunday were quite another story, but I didn't go then.

Richard.

Ah, gotchya. I don't have much choice,... but then,.... I'm one of those crazy, pesky OW instructors who bring the students who wipe everything out!:D
