I have a chance to dive Skaneateles Lake, NY end of July. Does anyone know what the water temp is like this time of year?

The surface temperature was about 70 degrees yesterday. Around 50ft it was 57 degrees and at 70ft it was 48 degrees.

Any idea where on the lake you'll be diving? Skaneateles is my normal dive location.

The temperature is similar to Dutch Spring yesterday. No idea where on the lake but its called a log jam dive.

Great dive spot!
Don't miss the bikes.

Peacock, I know everyone has different names for the sites. Where on the lake is log jam? Is it a shore dive? I know of a site with a huge log pile, but never seen any bikes.

South west end. About 50 -100 yards from a Red cottage. When I've been on it there was a tricycle and 2 wheeler on the pile

I will keep an eye out for the bikes. I am really looking forward to this dive. I don't get out of Dutch Springs that often so this should be fun.

ENJOY!

Sounds like the same log pile I dive. Have you been there recently? I was there a couple weeks ago and only saw logs. I know that some of the underwater stuff went missing over the winter, so that's a possibility.

That's my guess! Haven't been there in 2-3 years.
If I can find them I will post photos.
