Anyone Know What Type Of Shark This Is That We Caught Fishing?

You threw it back, right? Where did you catch it? The way it is being held doesn't well display some of the areas we use to help identify. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is a juvenile reef shark. I'm going by what I can make out by some of the markings on its skin.

I certainly hope you guys did not kill it! Did you know that the world's shark population is severly diminished, as high as 80%?
 
A few more details would help. A side view, or a close up of the jaw/teeth. Where and what depth it was caught at.
 
NJ . . .OK, I take back my guess. :)
 
It is definitely hard to tell without a good look at the fin arrangements and sizes. One possibility could be a juvenile silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis). While these sharks are more prevalent in warm waters New Jersey is near its upper distribution.
