I watched the 2 hr one about Submarine------good show.......

Watched Shark Week last year for the first time...it was ok if you could get past the sensationalism of the man-eaters lurking on every beach.

I am happy to report this year on August 10th, while diving with a group of student we saw a Black Tip in its natural environment. That made everyone's day.

I don't even have TV, but if I did I wouldn't be watching Shark Week (although a few friends suggest there has been some good footage and scientifically accurate episodes this year). Instead I go out and do my night dives and encounter REAL sharks (OK, so they are just harmless horn and swell sharks).

My 12-year old has had it on in the evenings. I will say, last night there was some coverage that was more "scientific" (they were documenting deep water netting of rare and unknown species) than the usual "death and gore" stuff. Some very cool stuff... I only hope it survived when it was returned to the ocean.

I'd watch it if they threw Honey Booboo and her whole family in the water with the Great Whites sans cage. Just kidding.....well, maybe not so much.
