I'll tell her all about Grenada when I see her at BTS. The diving is lovely, as are the beaches.

Can't get there... from here.

(Not directly, anyway.)

No sand= better viz. I left some very generic things in the truck this week such as sunscreen and a baseball hat. Nothing was touched. I think your hat will be fine.

Never had anything go missing on 3 visits and we leave a packed cooler in the truck...

That hat has beaucoup wabi-sabi. It would command a hefty price in a designer's studio. The discolorations cannot be replicated. They are the hallmarks of time and use.

It's Bonaire... what sand?

As my wife says "Bonaire is where divers go to vacation. Curacao is where vacationers go to dive."

Though she's now on a BVI kick. First it was Curacao for a few years... then Antigua for the past three years... now Tortola/JVD since the two of us went back in Feb.

At least she's come back around to a place with some diving.

What sand? about twenty steps or so from the water line going toward the reef

Here's one way you could hide the hat in the truck bed while diving. Might need adult size though.

Unless my wife happens to be walking on the beach, sees that poop wrapper, and without blinking an eye, would will pick it up and deposit it in the nearest trash can, even if she had to carry it back to the truck/hotel.

The last time I went to Grenada I flew direct from JFK. That was a few years ago. I wish there was some direct way to fly to St Vincent.

Was there the week after Thanksgiving and had items stolen from the truck. From me, dirty board shorts, small empty mesh bag and old Reef Mick Fanning sandals. My brother and his wife lost a small dry box, dry bag, couple towels, shirt, sweatshirt, sandals and room key. Not good. We made it back to the hotel before we were further victimized. We were parked at Jeff Davis Memorial.

I'm surprised it took me three trips to have problems.

Saturday through Wednesday... hat is still in my possession.

More information as it becomes available.

PS - the lionfish eradication efforts here seem to be working. Very few spotted. We did our first five dives without seeing any. The Windjammer however (200ft) had some that were the size of a Christmas goose. Out of 18 dives so far I'd say we've only seen a dozen or so.

They'll fly you from Morristown if you want. (You did say "some" direct way). No worries about luggage or pesky things like the TSA. I've used them before* - simply marvelous!

*Full disclosure. My buddy is a captain there-price was unbeatable.
