Agree. We can sometimes get direct flights DIA to CZM, but if not we stop over at DFW or Houston (DFW has the best Bloody Marys...) and go from there to Coz.

Just Say NO to the Bag Drag...

Yea, for you Texas is more or less on the way. I think we did a 2 leg WAS to ATL to CZM before. That wasn't too bad. I think you might need Frontier to get from Denver to CUN non-stop, but that airline seems sketchy. They do have a new window in CZM though.

Back a few years Frontier was THE way to go from where we are. But after their financial struggles, the schedules and prices changed and took them out of the game for us.

- we're all nurses, so we obsess on these things...

Oh tell me about it. One of my guys is married to an ER nurse. She is constantly thinking her kids have strep, diabetes, ebola, etc. etc. I remember the diabetes one. (sad eyes) "I think my kid has diabetes. (The wife) got their blood test back and their glucose is (slightly out of range). (The wife) said the kid probably has childhood diabetes and will need insulin, etc etc." Being an old EMT, I called BS. So we discussed the fasting. Oh they had nothing in the morning. So what did they have the night before. Milk. Milk? Well chocolate milk. How much? Well kinda a lot. And so the kids glucose is just a smidge out of range. Mystery solved.

Nurses. Always seeing Zebras.

Of course on the other hand, I think most of the people I meet are up to something! I guess it is all perspective. However I will take your libation related, prophylactic consumption for the prevention of DVT. Seems a wise preventive measure.

Friend of mine was working on fights and I tried to figure out something for her with Frontier. The website would not search flights. I can see that would create financial problems.

Frontier used to offer non-stops to CUN and CZM from DIA, at least part of the year, and even when others were charging for 2nd bags, they were free on Frontier. We flew them. A lot. Then all that changed, and they started charging for carry on luggage. And probably for toilet paper too. So we don't really use them any more...

Nah... that's the sort of thing new nurses do. Between the three of us, we've got like 50-60 years in the ER. We don't look for zebras, and we get those horses lined up and in harness to pull the sled right NOW.
And actually, chocolate milk the night before really won't affect their sugar significantly the next morning. But "normal" lab values are derived from the bell curve (just like school grades... oh my...). They're generally set at the 90th or 95th percentile, which means that 5-10% of the population will fall outside that range. It's still normal for them... "Normal" really just means "average".

Waiting to see what Southwest comes up with in 2015. Have heard they are planning non-stops to various Caribbean airports from Cols/Rickenbacker. Not into the Cancun bag/drag thing, so hope they come up with direct to Coz..we shall see. Also, have heard Bonaire/Belize mentioned....but nothing on their website yet. If anyone sees updates, could you keep the rest of us posted. I use Matrix for my flights, so rarely gt on Southwest website. So far, Cols to Atlanta to Czm isn't a bad deal as long as you like flying Delta.

Yea I dunno. She must have around 12 years in and her sister 10? Her mom alot more. And those kids have been to the ER more times than I can count. Maybe its just their nature?

And they drank a bunch and knowing him it was a ton of chocolate drank late at night. And the kid just nudged the range, way less than significantly. Like if it was speeding, I wouldn't have stopped him.

Seriously, who fell down on the job?

So I am thinking of organizing a Scubaboard dinner at El Moro on the 16th. That would be Monday between the weekend parades and the BIG Tuesday parade.

So who else is going in the Feb? I know you are out there!!!!

We had a great time last year:

It was my mom's B-day celebration as well:

Everyone was having fun:

So can I count on you for the BIG party?
SWA92014 Or (8 of 8).jpg

I am not guarenteeing hat and balloons though.....

I think it's a safe bet to say that Sue, Kim and I could be there. We're going home the next day, so there's no increased DCS risk involved...

I'd be up to go again. Your Mom's birthday party was a blast. Still got the mask. My balloon hat was a bust. Can't believe that was almost a year ago.

I have a car now and could give some people a ride.

Betty
