Chipola Divers 24/7 self service fill station is officially open! We bank almost 15,000 cf of Nitrox (30% ish) and O2 available 24 hours a day. We also have trimix and air on request. Keep track of your own tab using our Fill Manager program (same one as at Amigo's Dive Center) and pay at the end of.your trip. Even better, stay on site at Cavern's Cottage for only $25/person/night. While there you can also check out products from the variety of lines we carry - SEAC, OMS, Armadillo, Tilly Tec, Big Blue Dive Lights, and more! Stop by and check us out!

Why "30-ish"? Is it just to be different than the other shop in the area.

Looking Great! Good luck with your newest venture. Can't wait to get up there...as soon as our schedule clears up a bit maybe early 2016.

The reason Rob banks 30% is the same as CCDS. It helps out greatly on CNS. Bozel is just down the road and it is close to 120' max depth. Pushing the back of it and you are going to have a bottom time of 2 hours or more. Also a lot of the good parts of Hole and Twin are in the 100' range so long dives create a CNS concern. I personally like the 30%. Each to their own. The 24/7 convenience and the price is the best in the area. I have had great service at CCDS as well as the other shops in the High Springs / Luraville area. I am sure Rob said 30 ish because I haven't seen a shop yet whose mix doesn't fluctuate slightly. I guess you have your fill station dialed in and it mixes within a .10 of % all the time. I am sure Rob will be glad to answer any questions you have. Just message or call him.

30-ish because it's usually 30.5. But given that analyzers are allowed a +/-1% differential I may get 30.5 and someone elae.might get 31% or 29.5%. However, I am consistently getting very close to 30.5.

Why not 32%? I can assure you it has nothing to do with the other shop in the area? I couldn't care less what anyone else is doing. Anyone that knows me knows that to be true. I don't bank 32% because I never have and I've had a fill station for several years now. One of the local caves, which we have been exploring over the past year and doubled the length of know passage in, drops below the MOD for 32% for a couple hundred feet and stays close to the MOD for much of the passage in the back and this is a high flow cave. Why push it so close when dropping the percentage makes for a safer dive and only adds a couple minutes to deco? A couple of.other popular caves in the area drop down to 110+ in certain areas. Again, why push the MOD so close? I chose to bank 30-ish for my own safety and decided it would be easier to just keep it that way. I haven't heard any complaints from my customers, even those that are pretty OCD. It'should all about safety and it's easier to bank a mix that works for all caves in the area, especially since this is a self-serve fill station and custom.mixes aren'the always available.

Nice looking set up Rob! I don't think I've ever had a fill that wasn't "ish" "or so", regardless of what's claimed. Isn't that part of the reason we all analyze our tanks?

Ps, don't forget to add the pizza oven...

Obviously there's going to be slight variation up to 0.5%. Unfortunately "ish" to some shops can be 2 or more percent. There's a shop near my house that pp blends and if they're within 5% of your desired mix, they're ok with it. Hence saying 30-ish leads to questions and concerns.

Silly question Rob, where are you located??? I have gone through Greenwood for decades diving the Mill Pond, but have to admit I have never stopped.

Well that's all that was meant by ish. I guarantee a 5% or even 2% variation will not be seen.

Kelly, if you're coming down 71 from Malone turn right at the light in Greenwood. Drive a mile and you'll see a mailbox with a Nitrox band on it on the right. 2nd to last house. The house is Cavern's Cottage. The shop is behind it but visible from the street. Can't miss the dive flag door. Pull into the back yard for fills and continue driving around to exit out the drive on the other side.

Coming from Marianna you obviously turn left at the light in Greenwood. 10 minutes from.the Mill Pond and Bozel.
