Burhan, did you see that I actually recommended that he use a piston first stage?

Actually, I'm just a bit confused about this myself. I understood that you didn't recommend the B2 because it's piston, but you do recommend the Poseidon Cyklon and it's also piston. What makes the difference?

I said no to the B2 because it is a piston, I recommended a Poseidon Cyklon due to the second stage design which is infinitely more forgiving to muck diving than any other second stage on the market which is why it is almost exclusively used in UK sump diving. The hockey puck on the end spins off for easy flushing which is good. The first stage is a diaphragm first stage but can be sealed so it is no problem. I also recommended using the Sherwood Brut first stage which is a piston but has the dry bleed so it is sealed so long as it is pressurized.

Because the dive shop said they could no longer get parts for the B1.

They can upgrade the first and second stage parts and it becomes a B2 no problem. I have done it myself few years back. This is what is great about Atomic and SP.

I see what happened here. I said I had an upgraded B1, by which I meant that it had more or less become a B2. You probably missed the part where I said it was upgraded. In turn, I didn't read your post correctly and thought you were asking why I upgraded it, but you were really saying I should upgrade it. Think it's all cleared up now!

Sorry, I thought you said you still had the B1 and I was suggesting to upgrade it to B2 :)
