HI Ken Me and my wife are heading to Isla Mujeres on 9/9/16. What dive op. did you use. Was the surface rough. And did they use a big boat or a small boat. My wife got certified there 8 years ago. Shes should get he 200th dive on this trip and we both have never seen a Whale shark. Thanks for any info.

Just posted my trip report & pix. To answer your questions:

- Aqua Adventures Eco Diving (Jim Silver)
- Sometimes a bouncy ride out to the Whale Shark area
- Used Ceviche Tours (booked through Jim) for Whale Sharks
- Medium-sized boats (remember WS is snorkel-only)

I'm going to Riviera Maya in a couple of weeks--do they make it that far South?

They don't. But you can get a boat out of Cancun. Not sure about Playa.

Thanks. I also want to see the artificial reef made out of statues and I think that is from Cancun too.
