HOG 38lb doubles wing

Hi, bought the 38lb doubles wing and it states its typically good for mid weight tanks like Al80s what other tanks does HOG feel are suitable for this wing twin LP85s HP100s? Thanks, I like the wing too very low profile.

And I do realize Compensation also needs to account for anyother weight such as stages or whatever, I just want to know in general.

as we said in the other thread, tank size has very little to do with wing size. Most of that is determined by your exposure protection choices

Again thank you, and I did get that. What I was wondering is what HOG defines as Light to mid weight tanks. I do understand that other variables come into play for a balanced rig, (wet suit boyancy, drysuit, undergarment, and so on) This is what was on the site by EDGE/HOG
The HOG 38lb Bladder is specifically designed for diving with dual cylinders. The 38lb lift is ideal for divers who use light to mid weight steel and aluminum 80 cylinders
I was curious as to what they consider light to mid weight cylinders. And I also realize each tank boyancy characteristics are different too based on how they are manufacture.

I use twinset Faber 12.2L steel 232 bar tanks with this wing. With an additional 8kg of lead and fullish tanks, my whole rig floats on the surface when inflated.

As per the others, you should check your tank's buoyancy profile. The buoyancy change from full to empty on my tanks is around 7kg. But they're only around 8kg in the water when full.

I generally recommend my customers stick to cylinders like al80's, LP 72's, etc.. I have used mine with LP 85's and a dry suit but it felt like barely enough lift.
It would be ok with the old LP75.5's.
I'd also be ok with using them with these Faber LP85's given the buoyancy characteristics SpecialL85DVB-Faber-Cylinder-Grey-Cylinder--Includes-Free-Domestic-Shipping

I'm pretty sure those are the same tanks I have anyway. And as I just said I've been using that wing for a while now. I did a dive down to 36m using that set up, with a 250 bar fill, and I had more than enough lift to stay above the surface.

Also if you're using twin steels you probably should be using a drysuit anyway.
