You mentioned it will be able to monitor two transmitters. Will there be a sidemount function for those of us diving with two primary and independent tanks?

That's a hoot! I'm glad they did it, but the last I heard was it wasn't on their agenda for the foreseeable future.

Quick Question - is the air integration wireless transmitter proprietory or will wireless transmitters from other brands work? Is there a universal standard or protocol for data exchange for transmitters?

I got to take a wonderful video of this at their booth. Wonderful except for the ear splitting audio feedback, so it's completely useless. I'm going back today with my Edge 7 and will try that route.

This version will track up to two gasses and it displays them simultaneously. That's right: the bottom line shows Tm1 and Tm2 simultaneously, No having to switch gasses when you swap from tank to tank. They only use the one sender that has been used by Oceanic for ages. They feel that's been perfected, so they concentrated on perfecting their end in terms of reliability. I really, really like it. No plans to add this to the Petrel II at this point... at least not any plans they're willing to share! :D

Looking forward to seeing your video if you post it online would appreciate a link.
Luckily for me my previous dive computer was the Oceanic VT3 so I already have the transmitter for it.
And as luck would have it I managed to sell my barely used Perdix in record time and have already placed my order with DGX for the new model.
