I just don't log dives
I think I know the answer to this, but just throwing this out there in case I'm wrong [wouldn't be the first time]
I have an Uwatec Airz o2 which I replaced the battery. Good.
I have replaced the transmitter's dead battery [knowing that it likely would not resuscitate]. It came back, but wild numbers, then shut down. Bad.
There is a chance that the computer has a faulty receiver, but not a high probability being the old transmitters had volatile memory.
Is there a new transmitter out there that will work with my AirZ?

If your Z transmitter is the later gen, rounded blue plastic cover with three screws, o ring, and user replaceable battery, it's the newest and only generation replacement option.

I have the original one - oil filled.
But you answered my question though.

This the one I need?

Assuming these are old stock, because I am not locating them on usual sites.
Missed one on fleabay a day or so ago.

I have a new one if you cant get one in your area .....steve

Yes, its the one you need, the only one that will now work for you. Any oil filled have basically no battery life left at this point.
If you are the registered owner under the N.A.market free batteries for life program scubapro will upgrade out the old for new very cheaply.

Thanks Peege.

And I will keep you in mind abnfrog.

I currently use the wrist unit as a backup, ai would be nice, maybe move up a tier level then.

Hello, I have an Air Z O² too with dead battery, where did you get the instruction to replace it ? Does it works falwlessly now ? Did you had to do any reset procedure once replaced the battery ?

I have the transmitter too but I don't know if it's 1st or 2nd generation, it has some screw on the bottom it's look like this one

This guy here has a lot of info and what I used
Aladin® Air X and Air Z pressure
Yes, I had to do the reset afterwards. Worked well on several dives as a backup computer and then I sold it. My transmitter was toast. If there is power left in the transmitter, there is a chance you can replace the battery per the web site's instruction.

Thanks so much, do you have also instruction about how to replace the battery in Aladin Air Z O² computer too ?

The instructions are in the link I posted for both wrist unit and transmitter.
I did both, but the transmitter was dead. Computer worked fine and will work without the transmitter.
If you looking for a mfg step by step I don't have one nor do I think one is floating around the interwebz.
If you are not good at soldering, I would recommend you do not attempt repair. The oil is a PITA, but with a little patience it's not hard.
For those that aquire one of these dead and or not familiar with thus unit, beware that the ppo2 is set to 1.5
You need the memo mouse thing to access and change this setting.
