Disappointed that the mods apparently killed Bill's post re "Anybody else nervous"

I was watching Bill's post earlier and find it petty to kill the whole thread. I was on the cusp of booking my third trip to Bali, and then the thing we apparently cannot talk about occurred. I placed my plans on hold to see how this plays out. Bill's thread was therefore of great interest to me. I mean no disrespect to the mods and respect that this is your site and you can do as you wish- but please... We're adults here ...at least most of the time. If you're gonna err, then err on the side of free speech. If an individual steps over the line , then take down that particular post --- but the entire thread?
Before it was taken down, I read a little over a page of posts and it was mostly thought provoking and useful in deciding whether to spring for the airfare and deposits to Bali at this point.
I AM NOT trying to backdoor reactivate Bill's thread. I am asking the mods to seriously consider putting it back up.

They'll often pull an entire thread so that they can work on it in the back room. It is likely to re-appear.

Log on, click on your own name (in the bar at the top of the screen) and look towards the bottom of the box that comes up. "Join User Groups". Have fun...
