Disappointed that the mods apparently killed Bill's post re "Anybody else nervous"

It was a tricky one, several reports came in on this thread. Since the OP was about Indonesia but it rapidly became a more general discussion about politics it was decided to move it to the Pub.

Its OK with me, I half expected it, but I sure was confused because I could not get it -- didn't know there was something called "The Pub" that could be joined! I have now joined other groups, who I am SURE will be THRILLED to see more posts by me! They are going to LOVE my SPREADSHEETS!!!

It is a hard place to be sometimes.. I have taken hiatuses around election times. But mods leave us alone for the most part.

The move makes perfect sense. I could see the impending problem of political discussion when the thread first bstarted. What I don't understand is the lack of notice in the "be nice forums" that the thread was moved to a more appropriate place.

Or was there a notice and I (we) missed it?

The pub's kind of frustrating imo. Sometimes (like now) it sounds like there's an interesting topic to go read. Often, it's just a bunch of junk that I don't want to see in the "new posts" list so I end up leaving the group after a day or two.

I wish the mods had a better place to put threads like this one...


Edit: Never mind. Sorry mods, I see why the thread was moved after having read it... sheesh.

And thus ends another limited foray into the local scuaboard pub.
