Disappointed that the mods apparently killed Bill's post re "Anybody else nervous"

I try to stay out of the Pub. I was surprised to see a post from Bill there, but now I see it was moved by the mods. There's definitely some wacky material in that thread.

Without looking at that thread I'm just going to interject something here. If the concern is about whether or not to go to Bali due to the current political situation I would counsel you to go. I've been many times, am currently considering relocating to Bali in about a year, when I retire. And in 2001 ... a month after 9/11 ... I was in Bali when the USA began its ongoing war in Afghanistan. Yes, there was some protesting going on in Jakarta, which is many hundreds of miles away on a different island. But the folks on Bali were not at all part of that. If anything, they went out of their way to reassure us that nobody would bother us over what was going on elsewhere in the world. And nobody did.

Don't let some media hype impact your plans ... there are few places on this planet more peaceful than Bali. And it's a fantastic place to go diving.

It's a rough and tumble kind of place ... but we're all friends in there despite the rhetoric. I've met several of my fellow Pubsters in real life, and they're good people ... even if we do get a bit, er, confrontational with each other online. It's all in fun ...

Follow @diversteve link to join user groups. Locate the pub, and click leave.

It's here. https://www.scubaboard.com/community/threads/anyone-else-nervous.539493/

You can join the Pub here:

I forget if you have to join the Surface Interval first before joining Pub Regulars. You may want to anyway.

Nothing in there is searchable on Google.

You sir get a free air/beer fill if you ever come to Vis :)

The pub's kind of frustrating imo. Sometimes (like now) it sounds like there's an interesting topic to go read. Often, it's just a bunch of junk that I don't want to see in the "new posts" list so I end up leaving the group after a day or two.

I wish the mods had a better place to put threads like this one...

Edit: Never mind. Sorry mods, I see why the thread was moved after having read it... sheesh.

And thus ends another limited foray into the local scuaboard pub.

You can't judge a Pub thread by its title.. We dont have rules concerning staying on topic. So it gets derailed multiple times. A few threads are now dedicated.. but lots of movement in them.

Hey, I think I got a hook.. shhh act normal for a little while maybe we can get one to stick around.

EDIT.. Oops.. I thought I was in the Pub

All the talk of blood I got sidetracked :rofl3:
I should have heeded Storker's subtle warning. I have been enjoying SCUBABOARD as a break from all the fighting in my own kitchen, don't need to go out looking for more!

We don't really fight in The Pub ... it's more like a bunch of old people sitting on a fence gleefully swinging socks filled with cow manure at each other ...
