Aha. I know you dive Poseidon I must have just assumed xstream. You dive Jetstream?

yes, all Jetstreams. I have one Cyklon, but because of the annoying hose, I don't use it. Was originally going to be my deco reg, but will be switching to Scubapro 156's for that here shortly.

I would like to dive Xstreams, but they are very expensive in comparison and I have something like a dozen sets of Jetstreams so I don't really have a justification to switch just to have a slightly smaller second stage

When I was in the UK I was able to get my hands on a Myflex hose adapter that allows me to use regular hoses on my Cyclons. Unfortunately I haven't seen any in Canada. Maybe you can source them in the US

DGX sells one of those - the brand should be Omniswivel

IDk if the size is the same, but I have them for my Xstream.

the Xstream and Jetstreams share adapters and I use the cheap ones from DGX if not using swivels, or the Omni branded ones with the swivel integrated. The Cyklons use a different adapter unfortunately and Omni's have been the only ones available in the US. they're $32 for just the simple hose adapter, $52 with a 90* elbow, or $82 if you want the ball swivel. Just haven't had the justification to invest in them yet...

It is called a Myflex adapter in the UK where I bought it. The Omniswivel adapter on DGX looks the same but is "speced" as a 1/4"NPT to scuba adapter, not a Poseidon hose adapter.

The Xstream ones are different / not the same...don't fit Cyclons.

I got a different one when I checked the DGX site
OmniSwivel Adapter: 1/4-Inch NPT Male - 9/16-Inch Female
It seems that they have 2 that look alike :)

look alike, but very very different purposes. those are sometimes used for surface supplied and other weird applications where you aren't coming out of an industrial type regulator instead of a scuba first stage. not something you see very often

I was puzzled when I saw the one that I found as the only hose I have that it would fit to runs off my air tool compressor! Glad you've found one that will work. Mine were 25 pounds each when I got them on my visit to the UK so the price is about the same at DGX.
