My wife and I are new divers and yet our Perdix AI computers feel like the best purchase that we have made. They are a joy to use. They will allow us to grow in the sport without the need to upgrade our computer and we will never have to transition to a new format. The user interface is intuitive and well thought out. It is simple to use and has all the functionality that we will need as we progress.

Not to revive a thread that is a couple of months old but for those of you who have bought this product are you still pleased with it's performance? Looking at pulling the trigger and cannot find any reason to talk myself out of it, lol.

The thread seems to have taken a turn (what thread does not?), but the same question was asked here: Actual Experience with Shearwater AI

I love the computer and the company that makes it.

So far it has been one of the best investments that I have ever made in any of my many dive computers.
Don't try to talk yourself out of it because in the long run you will never regret having made this purchase.
The computer, the company and now the Shearwater Cloud make it one of the best if not the best computer that will last for years to come.

Thanks for the link and the updates. Not really trying to talking myself out of it but had already all but decided so thought I would ask the knower abouters on here.

I got to take a wonderful video of this at their booth. Wonderful except for the ear splitting audio feedback, so it's completely useless. I'm going back today with my Edge 7 and will try that route.

This version will track up to two gasses and it displays them simultaneously. That's right: the bottom line shows Tm1 and Tm2 simultaneously, No having to switch gasses when you swap from tank to tank. They only use the one sender that has been used by Oceanic for ages. They feel that's been perfected, so they concentrated on perfecting their end in terms of reliability. I really, really like it. No plans to add this to the Petrel II at this point... at least not any plans they're willing to share! :D

We are fans of the Sherwater brand.
Sell their computers since the model Predator. AI model is an excellent computer, we have only one comment is the case) why not make it from Delrin as Petrel? plastic that is used in the AI is not durable, prone to scratches! Software as always on top!

I have one. It’s a dream. That said, some people may not enjoy the “tap” button. That is really the only flaw I can find. Otherwise, I like the tech mode and how you can set gradient factors. I do wish it also had the DSAT algorithm as a default for both tech and rec modes, but it dives great.
